South Korea is a country in northeast Asia which consists of the southern part of the Korean Peninsula. Seoul is the largest city and capital of South Korea. South Korea is called the country of Tiger Economy.

1. Undergraduate programmes generally last four years (six years for medicine and dentistry).
2. In 2010 there were 83,842 foreign students from 171 countries studying in South Korea.
Compared with the US, Canada, and UK, Korea has inferior tuition and living costs. International students do not have to pay higher fees and there are many scholarship programmes to assist international students financially.
3. The Korean government has recently declared considerable sustenance and deregulation for foreign students in areas such as scholarships, dormitory provision, part time jobs, and service after graduation.
